Digital Landscapes is a series of work created in Switzerland and Missouri. Water is the subject of each photograph as it is greatly affected by the demands of technology.It fuses nature and technology to comment on the pervasive influence technology has over nature. The work manipulates the iPhone panorama camera function to create camera vision artifacts. In some of the images the digital glitches are taken a step further with the use of Photoshop. Some of the work is subtle in digital manipulation while others are jarring, scarring the landscape. This marriage of technology and landscape is meant to feel off balance, dreamlike and apocalyptic.
